Wild Quest is a New Zealand based tour company specialising in taking New Zealanders in the 50's - 70's age range on unique 16 to 25 day small group nature/walking tours about the NZ South Island and to the Canadian Rockies and the South-western USA. Tour groups have motel/hotel lodgings set in quiet but fascinating locations nearby to National and Provincial Parks where part-day and day walks are undertaken on some of the loveliest and most scenic trails and walkways that Wild Quest has been able to discover. Many home style meals are provided for each tour group and Wild Quest has a theme of a relaxing travelling and walking style. The company is owned and operated by former high school outdoor education and maths teacher and Hanmer Springs resident Erskine Sandilands, who has specialised in arranging unique extended-length walking tours for the mature traveller since the inception of Wild Quest in 1994.
