Cycle Samoa 2010

15 Day Cycle tour
17 July  -31 July 2010

With such a wonderful mix of people from our youngest of 17 years to one of our oldest tour member at age 70 yrs, the tour was destined to be  a test  for the 'small group' concept.

A selection of friends from the Taupo region, singles from Australia, Auckland, Tasman and a couple from Nelson proved that with 'like-mindness' a holiday with initial strangers can turn out to be one of the most rich and rewarding experience... shared with new friends.

July proved quite rainy in comparison to other years, and thankfully most of the heavy stuff occurred while we were either indoors or asleep.
The group were seasoned cyclists with the ability to enjoy the hot days on the road, along with all the peculiarities of this style of travel.

We consumed our share of Umu, endless bananas, seasonal mango, fresh baked fish and many versions of traditional dishes...all washed down with the obligatory Vilima beer!!

One of our best ours yet - and after 4 years they are still improving...!

Itinerary covered:
Apia - Upolu - Lolomanu - Ferry to Savaii - Salelologa - Aganoa - Satuiatua - Asau - Manase  - lano  - Ferry - Manono - Upolu - Apia.
